Students for a New American Politics PAC [Update]

Mon Feb 11, 2008 at 06:07:27 PM PDT

Disclaimer: I am the Online Outreach Director for SNAPPAC

Students for a New American Politics PAC
is a student organization founded at Yale University in the aftermath of the 2004 election. The lesson that emerged from those disappointing results was that the only way to bring about a progressive majority would be to actively involve a new generation of voters to fundamentally change the political landscape in America. With the goal of critically engaging students in the emergence of a progressive majority, SNAPPAC began in the spring of 2005 as a politically action committee focused on providing financial assistance for students to actively work on progressive campaigns across the country. This effort not only helps cash-strapped campaigns by providing critical and talented campaign staff, but also allows students to gain the experience necessary to run future progressive campaigns.

OH NO!!!!

For all of my fellow Obama supporters, there is a really bad breaking news. American Research Group, perhaps the worst polling company currently in existence just released two polls with Obama in a statistical tie with Hillary in Missouri and Delaware. If these results had been released by any other company, then I'd be extatic. Sadly, ARG is consistently wrong *by large margins) and given previous polling this means that Obama is at least down by 20points in both states. Here are the details on the bad news...

Delaware-
Clinton: 44
Obama: 42
Undecided: 10
Someone else: 4

Missouri-
Obama: 44
Clinton: 42
Undecided: 9
Someone else: 5

...It looks like February 5th is going to be a very bad day for us.

Poll

Is this polling good news for team Obama?

Edwards on This Week

Tue May 08, 2007 at 11:47:06 AM PDT

I hope that John Edwards' appearance on ABC's This Week on Sunday was not a portent of his campaigns ability to respond to substantive charges in the future. This diary is devoted to discussing how John Edwards is possibly the best candidate in the 2008 field and why he needs to work on responses to predictable questions regarding his campaign.
